National Interest and Political Training for High School Students in Islamic Republic of Iran

The article would explain the role of education in political training of  high school students in the Islamic Republic of Iran by taking diff- erent approaches towards the impact of education and document of fundamental reform in education as a strategic document in order to promote the students’ political understanding. Moreover, the author  would analyze the content of textbooks, according to their political aspects. The findings of research suggest that the political aspect is ignored in the textbooks. Regarding lack of students’ political partici-pation, the political training is considered in the documentof funda-mental reform in education.Therefore, high schools are now paying more attention to the political activities of students.
