Syntax hints in al-Mizan Allameh Tabatabai (RA)
The commentator of the Holy Qur'an should have enough skill and knowledge in the Quranic and literary sciences to be able to deal with the important subject of interpretation. One of the most important of these sciences is syntax, which is the base of many other Quranic and literary sciences. Allameh Tabataba’i (a) has mentioned the subjects of syntax at times quite often and at other times not so much in the commentary of al-Mizan, which has been written in the interpretive style. He, in the design of syntactic themes, while plotting the syntactic discussions in both the Basari and Kofi schools, has not betrayed any of the two aforementioned schools, but has rather accepted every aspect of the Arabs that was more consistent with his semantic and interpretive method and continued his commentary on that basis. In this paper, via the usage of the analytical-descriptive method, the author tries to extract some of the syntactic topics used by Allameh Tabataba’i in the interpretation of the Qur'an, and explain their usage and interactions with each other, in order to express his style of interaction with the science of syntax in addition to his syntactic references.
