Review of the Human Care Theory

Nursing theory, as the basic structure of the field, are the basis for interventions. No doubt promote humanism in nursing, nurses' knowledge in this area is needed. One of the theories in the field of humanism is "Human Care Theory".

This is a review article in which a total of 21 articles by searching the databases as Elsevier, Google Scholar, SID, PubMed and Magiran for 2001 – 2015 has been developed.

According to Jean Watson of care, it is not apparent, but the cognitive effort - moral - that require theoretical explanation and continuous development. In this theory, the science and art of nursing in a model of human development, care and love highlighted and nursing care, contributing to the growth and prosperity of the potential client. So that clients can use their knowledge and abilities and help nurse, smart and responsible choice in your life have a special position.

Human care requires the use of knowledge targeted care, healing presence and commitment to the ideals at the moment according to the values ​​of human care, which ultimately leads to the character, dignity and humanity of the nurse and patient.
