Performance Appraisal: Coordination of Strategy and Performance
Performance appraisal is one of the most important, challenging elements of human resources management, dealing with assessment and measurement of employees' performances for achieving the organizational goals. Performance appraisal system is influenced and affected by strategy of the organization and of other subsystems of human resources. In this article, a new typology of performance appraisal strategy based on two aspects of noticing domestic/foreign markets and process/output control has been presented upon a review of key concepts, historical background and fundamentals of performance appraisal. NAJA (Islamic Republic of Iran Police), as the organization which is always looking for better methods of personnel's performance appraisal, can by means of this method improve its overall performance besides creating coordination in the human recourses system.
