Effective Techniques for Situational Prevention of Bribe Taking

A technique for crime prevention is situational prevention, which prevents crimes from occurring through intervening in situations. This study generally aims to examine and determine the effective techniques for situational prevention of bribe taking and to come up with solutions. This article has been compiled on the basis of field method. Research method is descriptive – survey and a questionnaire was developed based on a review of literature the copies of which were distributed for polling. Statistical population consists of 751 subjects to 260 of whom the questionnaires were distributed for polling. Then, the information gathered was analyzed by means of SPSS software. Research findings indicate that from among the five techniques for situational prevention of bribe taking, the solutions based on reduction of stimulating factors had the highest level of effectiveness, and the ones founded on increased risk of committing crime had the lowest level of effectiveness.
