Culture, Lost Ring in Restoring of Deteriorated Urban Space Security , Case Study Frazan Deteriorated Textures in Birjand
Restoring urban deteriorated fabric is one of the most challenging urban problems; revitalization of urban spaces is as one of the drivers of development. Reinventing these spaces into the urban life cycle happens through providing security for citizens; however bedding of formation elements of urban-shaping in establishing the security is impossible without considering the cultural elements of urban texture. In this paper, has been attempted to show the role of culture in the structure of urban space security. For this purpose, after library studies and reviewing theoretical fundamentals and emphasizing quantitative and qualitative methods through collecting information, questionnaires, interviewing and observing the field, the role of culture in restoring the urbanized areas of Birjand city has been investigated. The results of the research were analyzed using AHP model and SPSS software. It was determined that culture is the most important element in urban space and the interaction of users and space in the urban area. The results of this study indicate the fact that the cultural approach is the solution to the restoration of security in urban areas.
