Comparison of family functioning, mental health and self-steem in successful and Unsuccessful addicts in leaving addiction in Region 1 Tehran
Drug addiction can affect the entire life of the individual and often leads to a wide range of patient behaviors and disrupts the normal functioning of the individual in the family, the workplace and the community. This study was carried out to Comparison of family functioning, mental health and self-steem in successful and Unsuccessful addicts in leaving addiction in Region 1 Tehran.
Statistical population consisted of all in successful and Unsuccessful addicts in leaving addiction in Region 1 Tehran. In the Region 1 of Tehran in 2017. Sample of the study consisted of 60 women from the community who were selected by Convenience Sampling Method. The research method was causal-comparative. The research instruments consisted of: Family Assessment Device (1983), Questionnaire, General Health Questionnaire (1972) and Rosenberg’s Sel-f-Esteem (1965) Scale. The data was analyzed using T test & covariance analysis.
The research results showed that there is significant difference between two groups in family functioning, mental health and self-steem. The results of this study showed that the more families have better performance, mental health and self esteem, they can play an effective role in the addiction treatment of addicted women.
