The Discourse of Economic Justice in Nahj al-Balagha
In Islamic discourse and attitudes, justice is recognized as the highest values and virtue. Justice has been introduced as the goal of the formation of the Islamic state and the decisive element of the preservation and authority of the state. As a result, in Islamic writing, and especially in the Shiites, justice has been regarded as the central sign of political thought and government. In this regard, Nahj al-Balagha deals with various aspects of justice, including economic, social and political. Because justice is the highest human value, it matches human nature, it is compatible with all ages and cultures, and it is essential for worldly and spiritual prosperity. Economic justice has been emphasized by Nahj al-Balaghah more than other aspects of justice due to the legitimacy of government, social and political convergence, the sense of belonging to the state and the political system. Economic justice in Nahj al-Balagha has been formulated in ways such as avoiding class divisions, combating corruption, addressing the poor, adapting politicians' lives to ordinary people, and avoiding discrimination.
