Historical Study the effect of uneven spatial distribution of essential commodity subsidies on rural - urban migrations In the context of the future policy of regional planning (case study: rural migrants of Ilam city)
The purpose of subsidizing basic goods is to help low-income people in society to realize social justice, but Contrary to the above definition, it seems that the disorderly distribution of essential commodities in towns and villages during the period from 1979 to 1995 caused social injustice. In this paper, we tried to examine the effect of the unjust geographical distribution of subsidies on commodities on the migration of villagers in the city of Ilam during the period from 1379 to 1995; the topic that has been discussed rarely in the development literature of the country. Accordingly, the type of research is applied, the research method is descriptive and analytical, the method of collecting information is library and field and methods for data analysis is both descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test and Friedman). Statistical Society under study is the consists of rural migrant households resident in Ilam city which had migrated to this city between the years 1980 to 1988 that obtained the number 72 head of household according to snowball sampling. The results show that uneven geographical distribution of basic commodities subsidies and of rural migrant household’s information level of uneven spatial distribution of subsidies has influenced their migration to the city in the period 1979 to 1995 and the migrants were mostly from low-income and low land or landless rural households which can be considered as historically empirical in future planning systems for regional planning.
