Review of the Management and Treatment of Traumatic Amputations
Pain control and maintaining the function of the remaining member of wound healing accelerates from primary goals in amputee care. Amputation or limb abnormalities is a kind of restorative surgery that is performed by removing part of the body and usually one organ, and is aimed at relieving symptoms, improving function, saving a person’s life or improving the quality of his life. Traumatic amputations usually damage a combat. Soldiers have reported that one of the types of injuries, which are one of the most troublesome emotional damage, is traumatic amputations.
The present study is an overview article, which was searched widely in the SID, Magiran, and Google Scholar websites and from various sources of libraries and scientific sites during the years 2001 to 2014 by searching for amputation keywords Nursing care, trauma and management are used.
It is estimated that 83, 000 amputations occur in the United States every year. Eighty percent of the victims are men between the ages of 15 and 40. Car accidents are the most common cause (51%), followed by industrial accidents (19%) and agricultural incidents (10%). In civil emergency medical services (EMS), initial assessment of air, respiratory, and circulatory (ABC) routes is prioritized. Military care indicates that a combat incident is more likely to die from bleeding than airway problems. Priorities from “ABC to” CAB are the first priority to prevent life-threatening bleeding. Therefore, the first letter “C” in the military system reflects “catastrophic”.
In order to care for patients with traumatic amputations, we need to know how to care for the detached body, to maintain the health of the injured person, his fear and his spiritual needs. There are a number of considerations in determining whether a reconnect of a detached body is possible. A key is the mechanism of damage. To succeed, a successful link between nursing care and management is first and foremost, Therefore, it is suggested that research into amputee care education should be done in different ways such as holding workshops or role-based instruction or other educational methods for health and medical personnel, and in particular EMS, and, if successful, Being used correctly in educational centers.
