Recognition Media Strategies of IRIB (TV) for a Successful and Active Aging

Considering the high usage of TV by old people and the growing aging crowd in the country, through producing programs with suitable content and structure may prepare the society for having a successful and active aging. The main goal of the research to achieve the suitable strategies in national media for successful and active aging. Data gathering is done in-depth interviews through snowball sampling. Statistical sample was 36 person selected from experts from national media management, professors, researchers, expert and planners of media and aging. The analysis system is SWOT model. The researcher with analysis of findings and comparing the strength and weakness points (internal factors), the opportunities and challenges (external factors) obtained the results .The most important

the necessity of reconsidering the goals and structures of aging programs, the necessity of organizing guidelines council to produce special programs for old people and performance of effective strategies, the necessity for reconsidering human resource structures in TV channels, the necessity of improving technological and technical systems in TV, the necessity of organizing research committee, interaction with governmental and non-governmental organizations and foundations and demanding for participants.
