Evaluating the effectiveness of the traffic training methods relating to fear and danger perception of children in crossing the urban streets

Cognition of children reaction and perception differences encountering road vehicles help to a proper decision towards the selection of the effective training method to reduce the accidents. In this study, the effectiveness of nine different traffic training methods in the most deleterious scenario is evaluated. The result shows a meaningful difference in various methods. The most effective method concluded is the traffic park as an objective and practical technic which has noticeably increased the fear and danger perception score of the preschool children after the training course. The pre course score of fear was 6.6 which increased to 8.5 after the training course. This score for danger perception is 1.7 and 4.2 and for the combination of fear and danger is 2.4 to 3.6 respectively.
