Abstract:

In this paper identity and the concept of identity crisis in psychology and sociology are discussed followed by Postmodernism, its characteristics and its entry into Iranian poetry in the 1970s. Sixteen indicators of this crisis of identity are mentioned and samples are presented. The past one or two decades of identity crisis is not necessarily negative; it could point to individual and cultural transformation leading to new experiences in Iranian poetry.another to something  from.
