Designing of Aviation Technology Park by Using Qualitative System Dynamics Approach

Aviation technology parks aim to develop the aviation industry and the development of advanced technology, operate in Iran.. Due to needing for designing an appropriate model for science and technology park, and also because aviation technology park is a specialist park, as well as a new experience in Iran, so comprehensive look for designing technology park is undeniable. Hence, system dynamics approach has been selected. In this study, we extracted cause and effect model, by studying relevant literature, and using group model building. Based on model building, macro-strategies in order to designing parks was developed that include: Developing technology and product roadmap, working together new tenants with spin-off tenants which comes from large companies, creating communication network among industry, university and other stakeholders, Directing companies along with park purpose project, professional management, matrix structure for park, creating performance measurement system focused on completing the project, developing zoning and compliance mechanisms, creating technology management and transferring center, creating small clusters to complete the project, culture building, systemic management.
