Effectiveness Of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy On Reduction Of Chronic Fatigue And Feelings Of Entrapment Among Female Married Employees
The current research aimed to examine effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on reduction of chronic fatigue and feelings of entrapment among female married employees of National Drilling Company of Ahvaz. Among the population, 30 were recruited using simple random sampling method and were randomly assigned into experimental and control group. The research design was semi-experimental with pre- and post-test and control group. Chalder's et al. (1993) Fatigue Scale and Gilbert and Allan Entrapment Scale (1998) were used to collect the data. The group CBT intervention was applied. The treatment group received 8 weekly 90-minute sessions of CBT based on Stark's (1992) model and Beck's (1990) theory while the control group received no treatment. MANCOVA and ANCOVA methods were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the CBT intervention could reduce the subjects' fatigue and feelings of entrapment.
