The Effect of Personality traits on Job Burnout among Border Guard Staff of Khorasan Razavi Province
Police Staff are exposed to a lot of work stress due to their hard work, which can lead to Job burnout. Studies have also shown that personality traits can affect their Job burnout. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of personality traits of Border Guard officers on their Job burnout in Razavi Khorasan Province.
This study is a descriptive-correlative method and in terms of its purpose is an applied research. The statistical population of this study was all 1000 border Guard Staff of Khorasan Razavi province. The sample of 278 persons was selected as Random Stratified Sampling. The data collection tools were valid questionnaires (confirmation of experts) and reliability (alpha higher than 0.70), personality traits of Costa and McCrae and Job burnout of Maslach, and data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling technique.
The research showed that personality traits of extroversion, consistency and conscientiousness have a direct and significant effect on job burnout of border guards in Khorasan Razavi province. Therefore, employees with extroversion, consistency, and conscientious personality traits can be more resistant to Job burnout than those who are Neuroticism and Openness Experience
