Abstract:
“Organizational forgetting” is a phrase which has been relatively paid attention to in recent years. In this regard, notable questions could be mentioned: how can we separate from the strategies which have established the foundation of our past success? Or how can we abandon the mindset which we have been using for years? However, the points which few studies have carried out and which should be considered are the factors which affect organizational forgetting and the mechanisms of its implementation. In the present article, it has been attempted to provide an appropriate model of effective factors, mechanisms and the consequences of organizational forgetting through content analysis and semi-structured interviews with the managers of the city hall of “Qom City” and a number of academic elites about organizational learning and knowledge management. In this study, the effective factors on organizational forgetting include individual, organizational, and environmental factors. fateme bahador have i present
