A sociological study of social and cultural factors affecting social security(Case study: 15-64 year old women in Ilam city in 2018)
Today, the topic of social security as one of the basic topics in the political, social and cultural circles has been the focus of attention. The main question of the research is: "how is the security felt by the women of 15-64 in Ilam city? And what social factors influence on it?"
The present study is a survey and a researcher-made questionnaire is used. The statistical population of the study consisted of 15 to 64 year old women in Ilam city in 2018 that were 58976 people based on the Population and Housing Census. Sample size was determined using Cochran formula as 382 people, and the systematic random sampling method was used to access the respondents.
Descriptive results indicated that the respondents' social security feeling was moderate, while religiosity was high and social trust, police performance, socioeconomic status, home security, and social support were moderate.
The results show that high levels of some variables such as religiosity, social trust, police performance, socioeconomic status, and social support can have a significant impact on respondents' high social security. So, to further the social security of women, considering the components of social rules such as comprehensive social supporting the women, strengthening religious and belief foundations, greater presence and precision of law enforcement, and most importantly, development of women's confidence in society can lead to a higher security feeling in women.
