Relationship between religiosity and students' self-esteem in Qom Azad University
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between religiosity and students' self-esteem in Islamic Azad University of Qom Branch. The statistical population consisted of 4830 undergraduate students of Islamic Azad University of Qom Branch and 328 students who were selected by stratified random sampling based on Morgan and Krejcie table. To collect data, two standard questionnaires of self-esteem by Sidney (2013) and Clark and Stark Religion Questionnaire (1965) were estimated with Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.92 and 0.94, respectively. Descriptive and inferential analysis of data at the level of Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression and Z Fisher test in the form of spss software showed: There is a relationship between religiosity and self-esteem (r = 0.822). . There is no difference between religiosity and students' self-esteem in terms of gender and marriage; also, the intensity of the relationship between religiosity and self-esteem is not different between different disciplines. Regression analysis also shows that there is a relationship between the components of religiosity and self-esteem and the affective and affective factors have the most effect on self-esteem; therefore, religiosity is a good predictor of students' self-esteem.
