A comparative study of the argument of the truthful in the views of Feyz Kashani and Modares Zanozi
The argument from the truthful is one of the most important and reliable proofs for the existence of God, so Islamic scholars have made great efforts to provide stronger and clearer interpretations for it. Feyz Kashani and Modares Zenozi have also entered this path by using special preliminaries and principles and have presented some reports of this proof. This article, by examining the works of these two thinkers, as two influential followers of transcendent wisdom, has sought to, with a short critique, understand and express their interpretations of this argument in order to present their characteristics and advantages by comparing them with each other. The results show that Feyz Kashani deals with the argument by the three principles: the fundamentality of existence, the possibility of existence, the impossibility of endless chain and vicious circle, while Modarres Zenozi bases his interpretation on the fundamentality of existence, doubt in existence, and existential possibility. Among the differences between the interpretations of the two thinkers are the use of grace by the method of division of existence, and the use of the method of doubt by Modarres Zenozi.
