Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the contribution of participatory media in resilience. This research is a qualitative study using five focus groups that will focus on the vulnerable group for further focus in this article. This study focuses on the theoretical literature and concepts related to participatory media, resilience, crisis communication, social capital, and the components of good governance. The findings of this study show that the lack of attention to participatory media, the weakness of crisis communication by official institutions, the mistrust of the public institutions, the low social capital and the weakness of good governance indicators before the crisis, have a negative impact on the resilience of people after the flood. had. Participatory media has also been able to help solve problems by relying on local communications and the involvement of affected people, although vulnerable groups have had a small share of the media and the problems and concerns of this group and their special circumstances have been ignored in public decision making.
