HRM challenges in Iran's public sector
The aim of this study is investigating the challenges of Iranian public organizations in HRM. This research is applied by audience, explorative by goal and review by method. in this paper, challenges of HRM in public organizations has been studied in six fields of planning, competency and succession planning, performance management and appraisal, recruitment and selection, job analysis, compensation system and training and development.The results showed that changes in population pyramid, lack of updated competency models, the characteristics of public and organizational culture, weakness of performance appraisal systems and payment systems, problems of training and empowerment systems, imbalance between wages of employee and managers and between different organizations are the most important challenges which iran’s public organizations are fronted in the way of implementation of vision of 1404 and other state documents.
