Designing a Performance Management Model for Cultural and Creative Industries
Cultural Industries” or "Creative Industries" is a concept that has been used in recent decades and is considered on economic and .cultural policy-making. Due to the high dependence on employee’s creativity, proper managing of human resources in these organizations is one of the key activities of the management. One of the important mechanisms of HRM that can play an effective role in optimizing the use of human capital is the performance management. Given the specific characteristics of the cultural and creative industries, the main purpose of this research was providing a pattern or model for performance management system in this field.
The information needed for this study is collected through interviews with experts and then by using the grounded theory (Glaser approach), analyzed and the desired model extracted.
The extracted model consists of 9 main components: process components, key components, baseline components, organizational context, organization’s specific conditions, management components, input components of the performance management, output components of performance management and effective components of performance management, which process, key, and baseline components are the core of the model.
based on the presented model, an efficient and appropriate performance management system can be provided for application in creative and cultural industries.
