An Analysis on the Domain of Revelation with an Emphasis on Verses 3 and 4 of Surah Najm

The scope of revelation includes a theological discussion and is related to the understanding of the range of infallibility of the Prophet (p.b.u.h); interpreters of the Quran have referred to this issue in their interpretations.The main question of the research is; Does the revelation of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) is unique to the Qur'an or somewhere beyond, including all the traditions of him? Some commentators of the Quran say only the Quranic words of the Prophet are revelatory. Others insist that the territory of revelation includes all the discourse of him even his dialogues of his ordinary life, behavior and his silence when it meant an expression. In this regard, there are intellectual and narrative reasons; in this survey we will consider one of the most important narrative reasons namely verses 3 and 4 of Surah al-Najm. This study, analyzing and criticizing the arguments, theories and principles of the aforementioned verses, relates Reward theory to the issue and claims that the scope of revelation includes Hadith and tradition of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the tradition has a revelatory origin. This study is descriptive, analytical and based on library materials such as books and articles.
