The effect of waste on the spread of infectious diseases

Today's world, with the expansion of population, the growth of urban communities, the increase in consumption and subsequently with them, witnesses an increase in waste and, consequently, many environmental problems. this is considered a serious threat to public health and the environment. Accordingly, the present study sought to identify the role of waste in the spread of infectious diseases using fuzzy Delphi technique. The results of the present study indicate that according to the opinions of experts and experts in this study, among the indicators considered after the approval of experts, based on the definite average, the highest level of expertise and the components of disease transmission through incineration Waste, disease transmission during the collection, transportation, transportation and non-hazardous stages of waste and disease transmission through waste disposal and the lowest level of agreement with the component of disease transmission through discharge of untreated wastewater in rivers. Therefore, in order to minimize the negative effects of waste on the environment and human health, waste that is the source of all kinds of pollution should be managed as soon as possible based on the principles of health and environmental improvement.
