The Impact of Borders on the Sustainable Security of Frontier Cities with emphasis on economic development approach (Case Study: Abadan City)
Abstract the present study will be an applied descriptive-analytical one with the purpose of determining the extent of border impact on security of urban areas of Abadan. The technique used in this study is surveying. The technique used in this study is surveying. Random sampling was used to calculate the sample size and thus the sample size was 383 people. In data analysis, one-sample t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used.. The results show the positive impact of the boundary on all the indicators considered and environmental safety is higher than other dimensions. The results show that the border has a positive effect on all research indicators and the dimension of economic security and livelihood security is at a higher level than other dimensions. According to the value of p <0.000, there is a significant relationship between the role of border and security of border areas. Also, there is a direct and strong relationship between employment and economic development with a significant level (P <0.000). Evaluation and ranking of the most important security barriers and threats in the study area showed; Environmental threats, smuggling, with beta (beta = 0.565), beta = 0.57, respectively, have the greatest impact on the border security variable. The variables of trust in border residents and ethnic and religious minorities with beta = 0.227, 0.231, respectively, showed the least effect on border insecurity in the study area.
