Rereading the Components of the Emerging New Order in the West Asian Region in the Light of the Islamic Awakening
West Asia has experienced new developments since the beginning of 2010s. Spreading the Islamic Awakening in 2010 was a turning point in emergence of a new regional order in West Asia. This new order has significant differences compared to previous one, and new actors have been emerging around the region. Understanding the components of both previous and new order, as well as the place of Islamic Awakening in the regional developments is of great importance. This research examines the position and role of the Islamic Awakening in shaping the new regional order in West Asia. In this research, qualitative method has been used to analyze the information. This research concludes that the previous regional order is disappearing, while the new order with regionalism characteristics is appearing. Furthermore, the Axis of Resistance, as a transnational force in the region, has been one of the main players in the process of emerging the new order. Simultaneously, Western interventionist powers have not been successful in perusing their desired order.
