Abstract:

Love has played an important role in the creation of literary masterpieces and has found various effects in these works. The present article examines the theory of Movlavi and Hafez about reason and love. In this article, love has been studied comparatively in the sonnets of two poets and verses containing common and different views have been expressed based on the selection of some of their sonnets. Although it can be said that earthly and heavenly love are the two main colors of love and love is vast and vague as far as life and its extent, but applying the ideas of literary greats such as Movlana and Hafez about love can be effective in clarifying the complexities of this universal issue. Also, by examining their point of view, the reason for the fame of each of them in a kind of romantic sonnet will be determined. The discussion of reason and love is one of the most important and key topics in the poetry of Movlana and Hafez. Therefore, in this article, there is a discussion and investigation about reason and love in these two works.
