Comparison of the effectiveness of mindfulness based cognitive therapy and acupuncture on Perceived stress of professional athletes with physical injury
Given that researchers are looking for shorter and more effective therapeutic approaches in the field of physical and psychological disorders; Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness and acupuncture on the perceived stress of professional athletes with physical injuries.
The research method was semi-experimental. The statistical population of the study consisted of all professional male athletes aged 20 to 25 years with physical and sports injuries in 1398, who were selected by referring to the National Olympic Committee (Medical-Sports Federation) and available and targeted. The statistical sample of the study was 36 people based on the criteria for entering the research, which were divided into 3 groups of 12 people by simple random sampling. .Research tools included the Perceived Stress Scale. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and parametric inferential analytical analyzes such as ANOVA multiple analysis test, repeated measurement test and follow-up tests.
The results of the analysis of variance test with repeated measurements showed that there is a significant difference in the group of mindfulness between pre-test and post-test and pre-test and follow-up and post-test and follow-up .
