Abstract:

The development of new communication technologies and virtual social networks in the last two decades has led to ideological and attitude changes, especially among the younger generation. In this regard, the present article was conducted with the aim of investigating the trend towards virtual social networks and the factors affecting it. The research method used by the Commission is a survey in which data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire tool among 900 people selected by a multi-stage cluster sampling method in 2009. The results of multivariate analysis showed that the most important variables affecting the rate of student-teacher orientation to social networks, respectively, include attitudes towards social networks, religiosity, and the level of trust in social networks. Other variables such as gender, age, and length of time to join social networks have had a significant but slight effect on social media orientation. In total, these variables have been able to explain about 43% of the variance in virtual social media trends.
