Comparing the Effectiveness of Schema Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy in resiliency and Ambiguity Tolerance in Divorce-Seeking Women
the present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of schema therapy and compassion-focused therapy in resiliency and ambiguity tolerance in divorce-seeking women. This study is a semi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest and follow-up control group design. The statistical population of this study comprises divorce-seeking women who referred to counseling centers in Neyshabur during the first three months of 1397-1398 SH (2018-2019). The statistical sample included 36 of these women who were selected by convenience sampling and were randomly assigned into two experimental groups 1 and 2 (12 subjects) and one control group. Data were Conner and Daidson resiliency Scale (FFS) and McLean Ambiguity Tolerance Questionnaire. For data analysis, repeated measures ANOVA was applied. The results demonstrated that both treatments were effective in the index of resiliency and ambiguity tolerance. The effectiveness of compassion-focused therapy compared to schema in the resilience variable is palpable and significant. but the effectiveness of schema therapy in ambiguity tolerance was greater than compassion-focused therapy (p <0.05).
