Abstract:
Abstract In addition to delivering messages directly, all media try to convey part of their messages indirectly to their audience. They try to use a variety of methods to impress their audiences. One of these ways is linguistic methods. This paper analyzes the Americans' consecutive requests for negotiation with Iran after leaving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. In this paper, based on Teun Adrianus van Dijk's theory, we are trying to explain how news networks such as Al Arabiya, Aljazeera, and Al Mayadeen convey hidden meanings to the audience by using some specific letters and highlighting and marginalization techniques. We focus on these three networks as they have different views on Iran.
