The effect of dovson-guare program on improvement of attention, working memory, and behavioral inhibition of primary secondary students with dyslexia
This study attempts to examine the effect of dovson-Guare program on improvement of attention, working memory, and behavioral inhibition of primary secondary students with dyslexia. This study was quasi-experimental using a pre-test, post-test, with a control group design. The research population of the study included all primary students with dyslexia at first half of school year (2018-2019) in Ardabil from which 30 students were selected through available sampling. They were divided into an experimental and a control group. The experimental group received an-hour Dovson-Guare trainingfor about 8 sessions. Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Functioning questionnaire (BRIEF) was used for data collection. MANCOVA (multivariate analysis of Covariance) was used for data analysis. The findings showed that Dovson-Guare program have significant effect on improvements of attention, working memory, and behavioral inhibition of primary secondary students with dyslexia (p˃0.01). Moreover, the results provided important allusions about educational and consulting services as some cures for students with dyslexia.
