Researches show the effective role of spiritual Mourning and weeping for Imam Hussein (as) has always been the subject of intra-religious and extra-religious research and analysis. One of the issues that has raised many questions and doubts is the works that have been expressed in Shiite Hadithes to weep over the sufferings of Imam Hussein (as). Opponents consider such Hadithes to be based on exaggeration and daring to sin, and do not consider them to be logically and firmly analyzed. The purpose of this article is to provide a psychological analysis of the mechanism of the spiritual effect of weeping on the sufferings of Imam Hussein in the soul and psyche of the believer and as a result the forgiveness of his sins. In this study, by analyzing the teaching of forgiving weeping over Imam Hussein and comparing it with the teaching of repentance, which is the most important spiritual mechanism of forgiveness of sins in Islamic culture, it was found that the psychological process of repentance and weeping over Imam Hussein means separation from evils and The tendency towards goodness is the same, and the psychological changes of the penitent and the mourner are remarkably similar. In this research, the method of data collection is library and the research method is descriptive-analytical.
