A meta-analysis of studies on factors affecting emotional divorce in Iran society

Abstract:
Emotional divorce is one of the most important social issues affecting families in contemporary societies. In a way that has sparked a lot of studies. Therefore, it is essential to conduct research that can get the existing research main extract. The purpose of the present study is to apply meta-analysis to analyze and combine the results of studies on factors affecting emotional divorce. The statistical population consists of all articles on emotional divorce among Iranian families between the years of 1390 and 1396. According to the meta-analysis criteria, 5 articles on emotional divorce were selected from the 60 articles published in databases and reviewed by meta-analysis software. Initial investigations indicate the heterogeneity of effect size and lack of bias in publication studies. Also, the effect sizes of the variables of the religiosity of the couples are 0.316, the families’ involvement 0.303, the power structure in the family 0.387, which is evaluated in terms of the average to top from Cohen interpretive system.
