Investigating and Prioritizing Attractions Effective on Sport Tourism Development in Golestan Province

The purpose of this study was to investigate and prioritize the attractions effective on sport tourism development in Golestan Province. To verify the normal distribution of data was used Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. To analyze the data were used descriptive statistics and Friedman test to rank the factors. Data was computed using SPSS version 18 software. The findings showed that Golestan province has a variety of natural attractions for the development of sport tourism and holding a variety of sporting events, that the coastal attractions of the Caspian Sea and Ashuradeh Island, for the development of various types of water , coastal and summer sports with an average rating of 4/17 in the first rank, attraction is mountains and heights for the development of various kinds of winter, mountains and The height sports with the average rating of 4/04 in the second rank, Sports attractions related to the forest and plain for the development of a variety of residential, resorts and recreational sports with an average rating of 3/95 in the third place, sports attraction of the hills and semi-desert areas of the northern province for the development of various camel rides and rally competitions with an average rating of 3/86 in the fourth rank, sports attractions related to riding, sport teams, athletes, sports venues and universities with an average rating of 3/61 in fifth place and sports attractions related to fishing, hunting with an average rating of 3/40, in sixth rank.
