Analysis of bioterrorism from motivation to implementation and its goals
Bioterrorism is considered as a new tool of warfare but with different political, economic, social, cultural, military and security goals compared to conventional weapons and a serious and fundamental threat to the international community. Although the production, stockpiling, and use of these weapons is prohibited under international law, the proliferation of technology and the high costs of direct and indirect warfare have led to the use of these weapons. This article descriptively examines the concept of bioterrorism and its application from the past to the present, the various motivations for the use of this weapon.The article researched the motives and goals of bioterrorism and ways to counter this type of attack, and its findings showed that this weapon was used for terrorist and military purposes in the past, but is also used today for political, military and economic purposes and motives. And so it is essential that defensive measures against these targets include the steps of identifying threats, actions during and after attacks.
