Determining the effectiveness of spiritual therapy and Montessori educational method on increasing academic self-efficacy of primary school children
The best direct predictor and mediator of academic performance is the variable of academic self-efficacy. The original spirituality connected with revelation teaches the art of the transcendent life under its teachings. The purpose of this study is the effectiveness of spiritual therapy and Montessori educational method on increasing the academic self-efficacy of primary school children in Dezful.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual therapy and Montessori educational method on academic self-efficacy on 250 primary school children in Dezful in 1398 by experimental method with pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The sample size was obtained by purposive sampling method equal to 80 (40 in the experimental group and 40 in the control group). Assessment tools included spirituality training package, Montessori training package in 8 45-minute sessions and Zahirikhah Academic Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (2013). The collected data are analyzed by analysis of covariance using SPSS-21 statistical software.
Spirituality therapy is effective on academic self-efficacy of primary school children in Dezful. Montessori educational method is effective on academic self-efficacy of primary school children in Dezful.
Montessori method also has a positive effect on their academic self-efficacy by providing suitable conditions for successful learning in children. Holding spiritual therapy courses has caused students to start everything in the name of God and make progress in the field of education.
