Abstract:
Purpose

The purpose of this study was to investigate the permanence of the architecture of Naghsh Jahan Square according to the principles of Islamic art wisdom.

Materials and Methods

Based on the nature of the research question and according to the sociological approach and since the studied samples all belong to the past, this research has been conducted qualitatively and in a historical-interpretive manner. The required information has been collected through library method and field observations and using visual and written documents.

Findings

According to the findings in this study, with the basic results of trying to discover the nature of objects (architectural buildings of Isfahan school), phenomena, principles, laws were constructed and the researcher finally rediscovered the mysteries of knowledge boundaries between philosophy and architecture.

Conclusion

The results showed that several factors, including architectural aesthetics and architectural features in the Safavid era, played a role in the permanence of the architecture of Naghsh Jahan Square
