Investigating the Effect of Effective Security Components on Public Spaces to Attract CitizensCase Study: Student Park of Tehran
The use of communal spaces is an important part of everyday life, public spaces serve as meeting places for people, so these places must be secure enough for people to exchange information peacefully. The city as a biomedical context should be full of social spaces for social interaction, but in the hasty development of today's cities, attention has been given to the security of communal spaces as one of the basic needs of today's humanity. As urban spaces become more desirable and designed and protected by genuine criteria, the rate of human absorption into space increases and as time goes on, the presence of people in space increases. Parks have always been considered as one of the communal spaces in the urban space. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of social interaction in this space by analyzing in Tehran student park as a collective space and to investigate users' opinion about the impact of security components in space. 50 questionnaires were randomly distributed among the users of the student park, and the data were analyzed using written tables. The research hypotheses were tested using Student's t-test, correlation and regression. The results show that the level of social interactions in the park is at an average level and, according to space users, are among the factors affecting security in socialization, lighting, space size and freedom to hesitate.
