Theoretical Foundations and Requirements of Ethnic Policy,The Typology of Ethnic Policy Based on the Model of State-Nation Power
One of the current social problem in multicultural and multi-ethnic societies is the problem of social integration. Multiculturalism societies have dealt with this problem in different ways that are reflected in their ethnic policies. This paper attempts to attain a theoretical model and optimal policy by examining and evaluating ethnic policies. Develop an analytical model for this purpose. According to this model, ethnic policies is the product of the relationship between the three factors of state, nation and ethnicity. Ethnic policy is determined by the weight, nature, and type of interactions between the elements of this model. The article claims that the type of government and governance, the degree of weakness and power of the state, and the state's view of the nation and ethnicity have had a significant impact on the patterns and models of ethnic policies in different societies. So, in the framework of the triangle of state, nation and ethnicity, the citizenship model has been suggested as the preferred model of ethnic policies.
