Investigating the Feeling of Discrimination on the Identity of Kurdish Youth in Kermanj, North Khorasan Province

Abstract:

The present study was conducted with the general goal of leading to national openness with the main aim of recognizing the effect of the feeling of ethnic discrimination on the collective dimensions of the youth of the Kurdish people of Kormanj. The present study as a feeling of ethnic discrimination and collective identity of Kurdish youth in kormanj and the role of the feeling of ethnic discrimination in these dimensions, provides a solution to overcome one of the issues of identity crisis in Iran today Research is survey and research tool is a questionnaire. The statistical population is young people of 15 to 30 years old in Kermanshah, five cities of North Khorasan province in 1398 in 124813 people. The sample size is 384 people based on Morgan formula. Also, to implement statistical techniques, software, SPSS and LISREL has been used, and in order to check the normality of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and path analysis have been used. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant relationship between feelings of discrimination and collective identity. In the relationship between feelings of discrimination and levels of collective identity, feelings of discrimination have the greatest impact on the variables of religious identity and then national identity in all three genital, behavioral and emotional And it has the least impact on the child's family identity. While the feeling of discrimination has no significant effect on transnational identity. Among these, it should be noted with confidence that 0.95 dimension of ethnic discrimination (procedural, distributive and interactive) are effective in aspects (cognitive, behavioral and emotional) dimensions of collective identity (gender, family, class, religion, national and transnational). Emotional aspect (commitment) has the most share in all three components (cognitive, behavioral and emotional). Among the dimensions of ethnic discrimination, the distributive dimension has the greatest impact. Therefore, in order to strengthen collective identity, it is necessary to reduce regional and ethnic inequalities and equitable distribution and equalization of benefits.
