Political Economy and Economic Security as Per Islam

Security as a basic need of societies has gradually taken on different dimensions throughout history. But now the economic dimension of security is a higher priority and has become the core of national security in the world. So what economic security is and how society achieves economic security is very important. Various theories of political economy throughout history have provided several models to answer this question, the study of which provides a deep and accurate knowledge of the theoretical evolution and functioning of political economy systems. So the main question of the article is: what is the connection between the theory of political economy and economic security. Political economy is the independent variable and economic security is the research dependent variable. According to the research hypothesis, economic security is the product of the internal relations of elements and components that different theories of political economy offer. The secret of the evolution of political economy theories has been their efficiency in explaining and creating economic security. In the meantime, Islam has presented more and more comprehensive and different theories of political economy to define and ensure economic security, which does not have the unilateralism of other theories. Qualitative research method based on data mining is content analysis, interpretation and collection method of library and documents. After reviewing the data and studying the components of political economy and the concept of economic security in terms of Islam, classical liberalism, Marxism and institutionalism, the research hypothesis was confirmed.
