Social Policies of the Martyr Foundation from the Perspective of the Wives of Martyrs; A Qualitative Study

Since the beginning of the war, part of the Islamic Republic's social policy has focused on war compensation for the families of the combatants.To what extent has the social policy of the sacrifices been successful in meeting its goals and responding to the needs of the sacrifices?One way to evaluate social policy is to ask the target group < br>In this research, twenty-three wives of forced martyrs living in Tehran were interviewed semi-structured.The data collected were coded in three dimensions: policy content, method of implementation, and results.The findings show that the social policy of the martyrs' spouses is inadequate and does not consider problems such as aging, recreational and communication needs, assistance and counseling.In the implementation of policies, there is discrimination and lack of coordination between the various agencies and the lack of target audience of the Martyr Foundation.The results show that these policies are inadequate while meeting some of the needs of the martyrs' wives and left the interviewees feeling dissatisfied and worried about their future and their children.
