Theoretical Model of an Age-Friendly City Using a Meta-Synthesis Model

The two factors, the reduced fertility rate and increased life expectancy that age the population, have begun in developed countries since the mid-20th century, and they have now emerged. Considering the consequences of the upcoming crisis of aging, studies in the field of aging will certainly become of particular importance. The main objective of the present paper is to evaluate the place of urban planning with an approach to the age-friendly city among the various concerns of senility, so that in both the structural and content forms, it can analyze studies in the theoretical field in the scope of the age-friendly city in domestic researches. The present paper is of a descriptive-analytic type and based on a meta-study strategy, using a meta-synthesis methodology to analyze scientific research articles focusing on the age-friendly city in 19 related articles. In order to analyze data, methods such as systematic review and open coding have been employed. After the review, extraction of data was carried out. By coding the intended articles, general specifications and ultimately the conceptual model and theoretical framework of the research were expressed. On the whole, in order to present the cumulative meta-synthesis model, dimensions such as presence, safety, age-friendly communities, safety and sense of belonging were pointed out as the major dimensions of an age-friendly city, which form the theoretical framework of the research by careful indices. According to the theoretical model of this research, Age Friendly City policy making is proposed based on two pillars of place and participation.
