Optimization of open space of residential complexes to promote social interactions(Case Study: Selected Residential Complexes in Tehran)
Increasing opportunities for social interaction is one of the essential items of psychological needs that lack of attention to this important individual and social life of human beings face problems. The increase in residential complexes in the current century, which has occurred following the increase in population in Iran, has become an inevitable issue. The neglect of psychological needs in the design of today's residential complexes and the mere provision of physical needs leads to social anomalies. In this research, an attempt will be made to investigate the increase in residents' outdoor interactions in the complexes. In other words, the present study aims to improve the relationship between the physical, semantic and functional characteristics of the open space of the residential complex and social interactions between residents, by extracting the rules affecting this factor to promote interactions full of satisfaction and vitality to improve neighborhood relations. To be. Therefore, in order to achieve the architectural features affecting social interactions, by addressing how human-space interaction, theoretical concepts and foundations were extracted and the research structure was obtained from the fields of socio-psychology and architecture. Data were then collected to test the relationship between the variables to test the research hypotheses. Finally, the results indicate that all three factors have a significant effect on the amount of social interactions and physical and functional factors had the most and the least effect, respectively.
