This issue has led to the present study, designed to investigate the beliefs and practices of professional athletes toward commitment to the next generation. This descriptive survey employed a 20-question, researcher-made questionnaire with questions designed on a five-point Likert scale as the research tool. The validity of this questionnaire was confirmed by expert opinion, and the reliability of the questionnaire was 0.89. The statistical population of this study consisted of all male athletes from national teams in selected sports (207 persons), and 132 persons were selected by random sampling. The results showed that the belief in commitment to the next generation among professional athletes is at a desirable level (mean = 3.15) and their practice (mean = 1.92) is in poor condition.
