Abstract:

God says in the Holy Qur'an, "And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them". Accordingly, some have said that the prophet of Iranians and Persian speakers should be Persian and so he is none other than Zarathustra! This question has been answered in two stages by descriptive-analytical method and by library study method. In the first stage, the claim that according to the Holy Qur'an, Iranians should follow the religion of Zoroaster, is criticized and the universality of Islam and its reasons are mentioned. Then, the Holy Qur'an and the teachings of Islam do not imply this claim and it is proved that no religion may be followed today despite Islam. In the second stage, the origin and validity of Zoroastrianism have been investigated and it has been concluded that this religion is not a complete and suitable religion for Iranians and Persian speakers, rather, in some cases, it has been unacceptable. Even following the current Zoroastrians is contrary to the teachings of the same religion. Since, according to the teachings of Zoroaster, Zoroastrians must follow the religion that he announced after him.
