Evaluating and ranking the green suppliers by combining the path analysis and decision technics

external pressures of the legislators, customers, suppliers, rivals, social groups and media increasingly forces the organizations to include activities related to environment in their business processes. Green Supply Chain management is a considerable subject among the academics and experts. this system is one of the new innovations to increase the supply chain management ability. The main goal of the research is combining evaluation and ranking of green suppliers with the mixture of path analysis and decision making technics(swara and topsis).

research method from the aim viewpoint is applied and from the method of data gathering point of view it’s descriptive-survey. For this, first seven success critical agents in acceptance of Green Supply Chain management system was extracted by reviewing the literature. Research’s statistical society and sample for investigating critical agents impact on the gas industry includes 80 experts and specialists that because of the society limitation all of the sample members were used to gather information of the questionnaire. Also the sample which is under reviewing to complete the second questionnaire and perform the swara technic includes 40 experts and managers of the gas industry whom to evaluate the agents using questionnaire their viewpoints were exploited. Output of the path analysis indicates that all of the success critical agents is effective in acceptance of Green Supply Chain management system. Also swara analysis output showed that “staff full participation” with highest weight is the most important success critical agent and “senior management obligation” and “product design/ green process” agents are next priorities from the importance viewpoint. Also “performance measurement” agent with lowest weight was identified as least important success critical agent in acceptance of Green Supply Chain management system in gas industry. At last ranking of seven industry suppliers were determined using topsis technic and applied suggestions was presented to industry managers.
