The importance and impact of sidewalks in improving the quality of life and its role in urban space

The purpose of this article was to write about the importance and impact of sidewalks in improving the quality of life and increasing vitality and urban interactions and analyzing the relationship between the quality of urban space on sidewalks (vitality, diversity, permeability, readability, security and social interactions). The research is of descriptive-analytical type and objective observations and its contents have been collected through documentary and non-documentary methods and the article has been discussed through maps, photos and measurements with meter tools.The results showed that sidewalks play an important role in the quality of life and urban spaces, vitality and urban interactions of citizens. Proper handling and design of sidewalks will increase the presence of citizens in the urban space. This will increase the sidewalk and reduce the excessive use of personal vehicles.
